Cancer touches lives in ways that are deeply personal. For many, it is a journey marked by love, loss, resilience, and the moments shared with those who matter most.The In Her Honour Gala was created in memory of my mum and inspired by the values she carried throughout her life: connection, kindness, and showing up for others when it matters most. It is a way of honouring her legacy while creating something meaningful for a wider community of people whose lives have also been touched by cancer.
This evening is an invitation to come together to remember, honour, and celebrate loved ones, to share in a sense of community, and to support a cause that impacts so many families. While every person's experience with cancer is different, the hope is that this event provides a space where those experiences can be acknowledged and transformed into something positive through collective action and support.
Held in support of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, the gala will raise funds for cancer research through a seated dinner, live auction, and fundraising opportunities throughout the evening.
The event is themed as a Winter Solstice Masquerade, drawing on the symbolism of the winter solstice as a turning point between darkness and light. Through themes of transformation, renewal, and hope, the evening reflects the strength found in community and the possibility of finding light even in life's most difficult seasons.
At its heart, In Her Honour is about people. It is about carrying forward the memory of those we love, supporting those who continue to face cancer today, and recognising the extraordinary impact that can be made when a community comes together with purpose.
What your ticket includes:
Your ticket includes a three-course seated dinner and a drink on arrival, along with full access to the evening’s program, including live entertainment, guest speakers, a thank you gift and the fundraising auction.
A portion of each ticket will be donated directly to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, with additional funds raised throughout the evening via the live auction and other giving opportunities.
The event will be styled by Chantico Events.
