Returning or Starting Railway Modelling

A series of workshops and seminars over a full day, introducing knowledge, skills and techniques to make and take home a simple, yet complete model railway module with live track and full scenery. Suitable for beginners and those returning to the hobby. Lunch is included. Participants will be introduced to many useful modelling products and household items, and how to use them to create geographic features (hills, valleys) as well as vegetation, such as grass, bushes and trees. Electronics and control systems will be discussed at an elementary level.The information presented will be relevant to many railway systems and gauges internationally as well as in Australia and contain resources to take home covering clubs, general modelling information, retail and online outlets and other avenues of information.
Presenters are members of the British Railway Modellers of Australia and are donating their time to run this event, which is not for profit.
Admission is by ticket only, no door sales on the day.
