Uncertainty, transition and renewal!This year’s APLA conference asks how parliamentary libraries and research services are responding to uncertainty, managing transition and driving renewal in a rapidly changing environment. While technological change, including the growing influence and use of artificial intelligence, will be an important feature of the program, parliamentary libraries are adapting in many different ways.
As information custodians and providers, this conference will explore the shared choices and challenges we face as we shape our collections, services and capabilities for the future. What considerations guide decisions about what we collect, preserve, prioritise or let go? What services do we sustain, redesign or conclude? And what capabilities do we need to build, retain or phase out to ensure we continue to provide parliaments with the support they need and value?
This event is open to APLA members and staff of Australasian parliamentary and chamber departments.
