About
Discover the joy of reading with one of our friendly therapy dogs.Tales with Tails offers relaxed one-on-one reading sessions where participants can read aloud to a therapy dog and their qualified handler. The calm, supportive environment encourages reading at your own pace, helping to build confidence, foster a love of reading and create positive connections with books and the library.
Minimum age for participation is 5 years old.
Please book one session per participant, per program day. Additional bookings on the same day may be cancelled to allow everyone an opportunity to participate.
Bookings are essential. If this is your first Tales with Tails session, you'll receive a Participation Form via Glen Eira City Council's Secure Signing system after you book. The form must be completed before participating.
Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled session. A parent or guardian must remain with participating children throughout the session.
