The Open Day is a fantastic opportunity to experience mining operations and enables our teams to showcase their workplace to family and friends.Learn about the latest cutting-edge technologies and environmental initiatives, view a mining equipment display, discover career opportunities and so much more.
A free, guided 2.5-hour bus tour of Newmont Cadia will depart from the Millthorpe Museum taking guests on a comprehensive tour of the Cadia mine site.
Children 12 months and younger are free of charge and do not require a purchased ticket, provided they are seated on an adults lap.
Visitors must wear long trousers, long sleeve shirt and enclosed shoes (ie. no shorts, skirts, ¾ pants,
sandals, crocs, thongs, singlet tops or similar).
All ticket sale proceeds will be donated to the Millthorpe Museum.
Proudly operating since 1965, the Millthorpe Museum is supported by a vibrant and dedicated volunteer community. The Museum is an expansive and engaging space where visitors can explore the rich history of Millthorpe and its surrounding regions, along with a fascinating collection of Australian inventions and everyday items from the past – including a dedicated Cadia Corner.
Entry to the museum on the Open Day is free for all Tour patrons so make sure you have some extra time before or after your Tour to enjoy the museum's displays plus take a wander through the village of Millthorpe.
