Psychological safety should support honest professional dialogue, not prevent it.This practical workshop equips school leaders to address performance concerns with clarity, confidence and care. You will learn how to balance psychological safety with accountability, structure challenging conversations and document concerns clearly and professionally.
Through realistic school-based scenarios, guided practice and practical resources, you will learn how to:
• establish clear expectations before concerns escalate
• distinguish psychological safety from comfort and agreement
• prepare for and lead a performance conversation
• communicate concerns using clear, evidence-based language
• document conversations and agreed actions appropriately
• balance respectful relationships with professional responsibility
You will leave with practical conversation frameworks, documentation tools and greater confidence to address concerns professionally.
