Community Dinner & Movie Night
About
Join us for a memorable evening of great food, inspiring stories and community as we come together to support local responses to homelessness.Hosted by Yarra Ranges Council, Anchor Community Care, Stable One and Holy Fools, the evening will feature a shared dinner, door prizes, the official launch of the Kirrip Card, and a screening of the powerful documentary 'The Ranch'.
The Ranch Documentary tells the story of an innovative community-led housing initiative on the Mornington Peninsula, demonstrating the power of collaboration, compassion and practical action in addressing homelessness. It is a hopeful and thought-provoking film that highlights what can be achieved when communities work together.
This event also marks the formal launch of the new Kirrip Card – an initiative that connects people experiencing hardship with practical support from generous local businesses. You'll hear about the impact it is already beginning to have across the Yarra Ranges.
Importantly, this is a 'PAY WHAT YOU THINK' event. There is no set ticket price – we'd love for you to simply contribute an amount you feel reflects the value of the evening and supports the important work of our local homelessness organisations. We hope this approach makes the event accessible to everyone while giving those who are able the opportunity to give generously.
All proceeds from the event will be shared between Anchor Community Care, Stable One and Holy Fools, supporting their ongoing work alongside people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in our local community.
Whether you're already involved, want to learn more, or simply enjoy supporting local causes, we'd love for you to join us for what is sure to be an encouraging evening of connection and practical action.
