Call out to Art Class Students

We're putting on the Art Student Exhibition and every student in your class is invited to exhibit — this is your platform, your work, your show.

A chance to showcase what's happening in the classroom, get a taste of professional practice, and to share your work with the community. 

Foundations is an exciting new exhibition celebrating the diverse practices, techniques and talents emerging from the Gosford Regional Gallery Educational Studios in 2026.
Students from each of the Gallery’s art classes have been invited to exhibit a work, offering a glimpse into the breadth of creative exploration taking place across the studios. From emerging skills to developing artistic voices, Foundations brings together a vibrant cross-section of the ideas, experimentation and dedication that underpin the Gallery’s education programs.
Together, these works reveal the foundations being laid by a new generation of artists and celebrate the creativity simmering within the studios.

Terms and Conditions

ARTWORK
The exhibition accepts two and three-dimensional artworks in any medium.
All artworks must have been completed in the past year.
Artwork must not exceed one (1) metre by one (1) metre cubed and should be easily lifted by two people. Work must be presented ready for exhibition. The artist’s name, address, telephone number, title of work and retail price (if for sale) must be noted on the back of the work. 

ENTRY PROCEDURE
All entries must be submitted online via this Trybooking link. Entries are NOW OPEN and close 15 September 2026. One entry per person will be exhibited.
For the entry to be valid, all fields in the entry form must be correctly completed. Entry is FREE
Entries can only be made by 2026 enrolled Gosford Regional Gallery Art Class students.

ENTRY FEE

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Teachers will help students select submissions.
In the event of a dispute arising regarding conditions of entry, a decision made by Gosford Regional Gallery Management shall be final.

EXHIBITION
Exhibiting Artists will be asked to deliver work to the gallery prior to the exhibition. Delivery may be in person or via a courier service. Exhibiting Artists are responsible for all costs associated with packing and delivery.
All works selected for exhibition must remain on show for the full duration of the exhibition.
Exhibiting Artists are responsible for the collection of their work at the close of the exhibition unless the work is sold.

SALE OF WORK
All works exhibited can be for sale.
The Gallery will take 25% commission.
Sales will be managed through the Gallery Shop.

COPYRIGHT

The entrant agrees to grant Gosford Regional Gallery a non-exclusive licence to photograph and publish images of the entered artwork, or an image detail of the artwork, for the purpose of documentation and the promotion of Gosford Regional Gallery.

PRIVACY
Information supplied in the online entry form will be used solely for the purpose of running this exhibition. The Exhibiting Artist's name, artwork title, medium, size, price and Artist statement will be used to create a sales sheet, exhibition signage and an archive.

INSURANCE
Work on exhibition will be insured against fire, theft and vandalism. Gosford Regional Gallery will not be held liable for minor accidental damage that may occur to artwork during the storage and transport, or deterioration due to inherent vice.

COLLECTION OF WORK
Any unsold artwork not collected within two days of the close of the exhibition will be disposed of unless alternative arrangements have been made with Gallery staff. The Gallery will endeavour to contact Artists prior to disposal.

ELIGIBILITY

The exhibition is open to all artists who are enrolled in the Adult Art Classes at Gosford Regional Gallery this term.

EXHIBITION ROSTER
All participating artists are expected to assist with the exhibition minding roster. There are two shifts per day the exhibition is open 9:15 - 12:45 and 12:30 - 4:15. Please book with this link https://www.trybooking.com/DPCGK
