How much does TryBooking charge for sports club events?

We offer simple, pay-as-you-go pricing - a 5% booking fee, and a 15p fee per paid ticket. There are no hidden fees, contracts or subscriptions. Free events are totally free to run.

Do I need special equipment to sell tickets in person?

Nope. Our Tap To Pay Box Office app is designed to work on your phone, letting you take contactless or cash payments on the day without requiring additional hardware.

Can you create recurring events or training sessions?

Yes, recurring sessions are easy to set up. You can copy events, set multiple dates, or allow registrations for multiple sessions at once.

What support does TryBooking offer?

You’ll always have access to our award-winning UK based support team, with over 10 years experience supporting theatre organisers. Whether you need help setting up your seating plan or managing tickets, a real person is available via phone, email or chat.

Can committee members access the account?

Even better - you can invite others to join your account with different access levels, so team managers, treasurers, or admin staff can each manage what they need.

Can we download registration data?

Yes - all data collected through TryBooking can be exported to CSV or PDF format, making it easy to update team lists, contact databases, or third-party platforms.

How do I receive my ticket sales?

Once you start selling tickets, funds (minus any fees you’ve chosen to cover as the event organiser) will be added to your TryBooking account balance.

To withdraw funds, simply add a UK bank account. We’ll send a small verification amount before you can request a transfer.

Can I customise my event pages and emails?

Yes, you have full control over the design of your event homepage - add images, videos and even animated backgrounds! Our calendar feature also makes it easy for your attendees to see all available session dates.

You can also send personalised emails before, during and after your event using our Email Buyers feature. This is available to all event organisers at no extra cost.

Do I have to give my card details to sell tickets?

No, you don’t need to add your card details to sell tickets. Our fees are automatically deducted from your account balance or passed on to ticket buyers, depending on the option you’ve selected in your account.

How secure is TryBooking?

TryBooking is fully compliant with industry-leading security protocols to protect your data.

All stored data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption algorithms, and we are fully PCI-compliant for payment security. We never store full credit card details - only the last four digits are retained for reference.

To safeguard your information, we implement multiple layers of security, including multi-factor authentication, secure website connections on all pages, and firewalls to prevent unauthorised access. All data is securely hosted in the UK.
