How do I start selling through TryBooking?

Ready to begin selling through TryBooking? The first step is to create an account via Create Seller Account. 

Follow the prompts and provide a valid email address as we will send an activation email. Once you have activated the account you will be able to log in and begin creating your event. It's that easy!

We also have a number of setup guides in our Learning Centre to help get you started with creating your event. 

Can I use TryBooking for registrations?

If your looking to create an event that does not require tickets, check our easy set-up guide for registration events. Use our custom forms feature to collect information and payment for registrations, while removing the need for paper forms and tedious admin involved with collating data.

Also make sure you communicate to your community that they do not require a digital or printed event ticket for entry.

How do I run a sausage sizzle on TryBooking?

You can easily set up a general admission event, where you set your 'ticket' as a sausage. You can even create multiple 'ticket' types where you can setup combinations like sausage and soda. Then use the box office app, to sell the sausages in person using your own phone to take contactless payment.

How do I use TryBooking for free events?

All you need to do is signup to TryBooking, then follow our Create Event Wizard. Here you will have the option to select Free when prompted for setting up ticket prices. For further guidance, see: Free Events

What is an event ticketing system?

Event ticketing system keeps things simple with a easy process for users to do registrations for any event by enabling online/electronic registration and payment.  

Can I use your services free of charge?

There no costs to create an account or events on TryBooking, nor are there any fees associated with tickets set at or discounted to $0.00. We only charge fees when processing paid transactions on your events and fundraising pages. With no sign up or contract fees trailing our system is risk fee. What ticketing service fees does TryBooking charge?

Should you be taking payment through your TryBooking event, the transaction will be subjected to a processing fee and a ticket fee. These fees vary per region associated with your TryBooking account. Below details these fees per region.

Australia:

For bookings or donations made on events:

  • 50c ticket fee (charged to the ticket buyer) or a 15c ticket fee if the ticket price is $5.00 or less.
  • 2.5% processing fee (charged to the event organiser by default or passed on to the ticket buyer by selection)

For donations made on fundraising pages:

  • 2.5% donation fee (charged to the fundraiser by default)

Are there any costs associated with creating an event?

No, there are no cost associated with creating a event.

There are NO lock-in contracts, sign-up or account maintenance fees, nor any subscriptions.

Fees are only incurred when a paid transaction is processed through your event. Allowing you to run a free event without any cost.

We encourage you to create an account and see for yourself how easy the TryBooking site is to both create and manage your next event or to simply book an event.

 

Is TryBooking a free event ticketing platform?

TryBooking is free for all free events, there is no limit to how many tickets you can sell, nor the number of events or even any restricted access. However, once you start charging for a ticket, that's when TryBooking applies our small processing and ticket fee.

Can I customise my own event page?

Yes, you can have full customisation of your own event page. We also provide a widget to allow you to place your event page onto your site.

Can I use TryBooking to sell tickets to private events?

Yes, you set your event private via the Event Publication. It is at your discretion to share your unique booking URL publicly or privately. See: Private Events

Passwords can also be added to your event for a second layer of security. See: Password Protect

How long does it take to get setup?

It takes just a few minutes to create your account and begin creating your first event on TryBooking.

All that's required to get started it a valid email address, ensuring that you will receive the activation email to complete the registration. Once the account has been activated, you can log in and begin creating your event.

Do you offer discounted pricing for nonprofits?

We aim to keep our fees as low as possible for all clients whilst giving them full access to all features. This means the same low fees apply to all account holders, regardless of their Not For Profit status. They are:

For donations made on fundraising pages:

  • 5% donation fee (charged to the fundraiser by default

For bookings or donations made on events:

  • 50c ticket fee (charged to the ticket buyer) or a 15c ticket fee for ticket prices set at $5.00 or less.
  • 2.5% processing fee (charged to the event organiser by default)

How can I link my TryBooking event to my website, blog or social media?

We provide a number of methods to integrate your TryBooking event into your website for a seamless booking experience. 

Choose from our numerous Widget options to have the event embedded into your website, or one of our Event Listings to have new events auto-populate to on your site as they are created, or simply embed the unique direct URL for your event.
