Common questions about county show ticketing
Can I sell tickets for a multi-day show?
Yes. Set up multiple show days with different ticket types and prices for each. Visitors can browse available dates and book the days they want — all from a single event page.
Can I manage competition entries through TryBooking?
Yes. Use custom forms to collect entry details, class categories, and exhibitor information at the time of booking. All responses are available in real-time reports, making it easy to manage entries without spreadsheets.
Can I sell tickets at the gate on the day?
Yes. TryBooking's free Box Office app lets you sell tickets and take card or cash payments at the gate from your phone — no extra hardware needed.
Can I check tickets on the gate?
Yes. TryBooking's free Mobile Scanning app lets you check tickets using a mobile phone, and track attendance in real time.
Can I offer early bird and group pricing?
Yes. Set up early bird pricing to drive advance sales, group discounts for families, and exclusive codes for trade exhibitors and sponsors. It's quick to set these up in your ticket prices.
How much does it cost?
Free events are always free. For paid events, it's a 5% booking fee and a 15p ticket fee — no subscriptions, no contracts. You can pass fees to visitors so your show committee pays nothing.
Can I collect donations alongside ticket sales?
Yes. Add a donation option to any event so visitors can contribute when they book. If your show is run by a registered charity, you can also collect Gift Aid declarations at checkout.
